Ender's Game Proposal

  My Proposal

For my independent novel study, I would like to study “Enders Game”. Not only is it my favourite novel, but also my favourite genre. I think that I ought to have the benefit to do my novel study on this because; despite the fact that I’ve read it three times to date, but nobody else has such an infatuation for Orson Scott Cards brilliant works.

I’ve been a fan of Cards works for awhile now. Ever since I was eleven, I’ve only read and reread Enders Game- along with his other books, such as “Enders Shadow” and “Shadow of the Hegemon”. Of all of these though, Enders Game is, by far, the best. Cards works have won Hugo’s and Nebula’s- that’s a huge achievement!

Not to mention the fact that Enders Game is, in fact, within, if not above the grade nine reading level and not in the 9-12 prospectus. Enders Game is a suitable book that’s educational and entertaining. I also think that I should do it because I don’t think many people would think to do Enders Game. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not doing it so I wouldn’t have to write a convincing argument, I’m using Enders Game because it’s ideal; I think it would be just the perfect challenge and something new- not something everyone’s going to choose- such as Divergent or even The Maze Runner.

There are plenty of reasons as to why I should do my report on Enders Games as opposed to another student. I’m not entitled to it, but I think that I’d do a better report on it than anyone else could. ;) Also, the movie just came out- but not to worry; it’s nothing like the book. The movie leaves out and changes key details and shoves what took years to do in the book into a month or two in the movie. So, the movie isn’t even a reason for not allowing me to read the book (again).

Thanks for your consideration! I really hope that I’ll be permitted to do my report on Enders Game. If this is somehow denied, I’ll be just as grateful to do Enders Shadow.
